THERAPY FOR THERAPISTS

IN MICHIGAN AND INDIANA

Ever feel like you need the same help that you constantly offer to others?

Ever feel like finding your own therapist is next to impossible?

Us therapists are a unique breed. And, although we often feel like other therapists should totally get it, it can sometimes feel like finding the right therapist is going to take a lot more effort than we really have to give. I mean, let’s face it, by the time we need our own therapist, we usually have almost nothing left in the tank.

So let’s talk through some of the reasons therapists need therapists, and you let me know if any of this sounds familiar…

Maybe you recognize that you are burning out as a therapist and you want to try to work through it so you can get back to helping your clients. Or maybe the busyness of your life supporting others has led to you feeling like there is little to no time for yourself. Perhaps you simply want to find a place to take care of yourself to prevent these kind of things like burnout and stress.

Or maybe you’re feeling the loneliness that can come from being a therapist: the feeling that you can’t really talk to anyone about your job because of things like confidentiality, but you really need to talk with someone who gets it.

Whatever your reason, you know you want that same support you offer to others:

  • You want to be able to connect with or stay connected with loved ones.

  • You want to maintain that hope you hold for others.

  • You want to be present with your clients and with your loved ones.

  • You want to take care of yourself the way you encourage others to take care of themselves

  • You want to embrace the belief that you are good at what you do!

Therapy for Therapists can help!

It may feel impossible now, but you can prioritize yourself while caring for others . You can have a healthy work-life balance. You can experience the same growth you see in your clients. And I can help you get there.

Therapy for therapists looks a little different than normal. This video let’s you know more about how I help other therapists succeed!

Therapy for Therapists can help:

  • Provide an understanding space for you to process and address self-doubt

  • Build self-awareness to help you uncover blind spots and boost your understanding of your emotions, beliefs, and patterns

  • Improve empathy by refining and improving your emotional awareness

  • Teach you to develop healthy boundaries and self-care skills (that you’ll actually do) so that you reduce the chances of burnout

  • Create a place for your best self to show up whether it’s in your job or in your home

I'll help you through this process tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances.

My approach to Therapy for Therapists comes from a place of authenticity and empowerment: knowing that you already have the knowledge and skills, and you just need someone to show up with an outside perspective to help you be the best person you can be!

It’s time to be the therapist you were always meant to be.

I can help you get there!

Frequently asked questions about counseling

  • Online therapy is just like in-person therapy, except you can wear your pjs! I will help you get set up with an online account using a secure, HIPAA compliant client portal. When we meet, we will connect through this portal for video sessions.

  • In the beginning, we will meet every 1-2 weeks. This will depend on your needs and preferences.

  • Typical fees range from $125-$195. I take a unique approach to fees in that you pay for the time we spend. I’ll block out a 1-hour block for us to meet, but if we only use a portion of that time, you will pay less.

  • All of my services are provided virtually. Currently, I am licensed to help clients in Michigan and Indiana.

  • I currently only offer online sessions, but stay tuned for local opportunities such as nature-based therapy, retreats, and workshops!

  • In our first appointment, I gather a lot of information such as reason for counseling, goals, and background information. This is to get a clearer picture of your needs for counseling. While I do gather a lot of information in this first session, I try to make this more of a conversation rather than an interview. My number 1 goal is to help you feel comfortable as we begin to explore your story.

  • This depends on your needs. Many of my career clients see me for 4-6 sessions. Those tackling mental health needs like ADHD and Anxiety may see me longer, but we are always focusing on your needs. When we talk through your free consultation, I may be able to give you a better picture of how many sessions you may need to meet your goals.

  • No. Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance at this time. I am happy to provide a superbill that you can then submit to your insurance for out of network benefits

  • Go fill out the contact form to sign up for your free consultation.

Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your mental healthcare will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescriptions drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical services or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or a picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
